I adore shoes. Boots, flats, heels, flipflops I wear and love them all. I get sad when, after 10 years (seriously I take good care of my babies), I have to throw a pair away.
When Havaianas contacted me about not only trying out a pair of flipflops but to make personalized Havaianas flip flops, I did a little Shoes Rock dance. (I’ll leave the moves to your imagination.)
I was able to choose the base color, the strap color and two pins on the straps. There are also premade designs that are quite cute as well as baby and toddler sandals (although we’ve never done the opened-toed shoe with our preschool kids but I’m a paranoid doctor-parent).
The flip flops are rubber which is great for those rainy summer days since I almost always by the cloth ones, which start to peel halfway through the summer because flip flops are the one pair of shoes that I’m not kind to since I wear them daily for 3-4 months in the hot Virginia sun.
I love how the shoes came out and that they are one-of-a-kind. My only regrets are not choosing the monogram pin (I see sparkles and I can’t resist even when I should) and I thought the base would be a bit more gold in color. All my other choices were as they looked on the website.
